A perfect world which is to come
where sin can never go
lies ahead on the narrow road
at a place I will know

in heaven’s realm a home I claim
made by the Savior’s hand
a perfect place in which to dwell
amid a beautiful land

with cherubim and seraphim
angels of every kind
dwells in peace with the redeemed
with God’s own love entwined

the trinity all three in One
governs this home on high
has planned my life in such a way
that love could never deny

a wretched life bound to the earth
where sin would keep me there
but Jesus came to die for me
my sins He’d have to bear

has made a way for me to know
the Father’s love at last
has given me a place on high
to live beyond my past
____
a perfect world in which to come
shall never fade away
because of love is present there
eternally to stay
